7th May 2014
This year, Centra celebrates their fifth year as sponsor of the GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship and throughout the summer, Irelandâs largest convenience retailer are bringing together the brightest stars of hurling for fun community events in GAA clubs all-round the country.
The second of 16 family events will be in Clonakilty GAA Club, Cork, on Saturday 17th May, with the countyâs rising star, Patrick Horgan and hurling legend Seán Ãg à hAilpÃn, on hand to give bright young stars from local Cork clubs the chance to develop their game and learn from the best! These community events will continue each weekend for the next four months, visiting counties such as Waterford, Kilkenny, Dublin and Kildare.
There will be plenty of fun to be had on the day as Centra aims to bring the whole community together through a special hurling skills session and a host of family entertainment including face painting, a hurling simulator to test your hurling skills, music and goodie bags. Cork 96FM will also be on site with a live outside broadcast adding to the atmosphere on the day.
