Both under 12 football teams were in league Semi-final action last weekend. On Saturday team 1 were away to Carbery Rangers. A great start had Caheragh eight points ahead at half time. The home team dominated the second period and were ahead by a point with full time approaching. Eventually the visitors found their scoring range and kicked four points without reply to record victory on a final scoreline of 2-13 to 2-10.

On Sunday team 2 were at home against St.Oliver Plunketts. The visitors dominated the first half and held a six point half time lead. When that lead was extended to twelve things didn’t look good for Caheragh , however a brilliant late scoring burst yielded six goals and a brilliant victory on a scoreline of 8-8 to 4-15.

Both teams will now contest league finals which is a marvellous achievement and they will look forward to these games with confidence after two thrilling Semi-finals. Team 2 will play their final on this Saturday in Aughaville against Adrigole at 5.00 pm.
