The Junior A team played Ilen Rovers in the final game of the County league last Friday evening in Aughaville. Caheragh started brightly and were four points ahead early on, Ilen then came more into the game and by half time the lead was just three points 0-7 to 0-4.

The second half was very keenly contested with the scoring rate increasing, the teams were level with ten minutes remaining however a goal from Colm O Driscoll decided the issue in Caheragh’s favour, final scoreline 1-15 to 1-10. The team has now qualified for the semi-final stages of this competition. They also play their final game of the Carbery Beara league this Friday evening against Bandon in Aughaville.
