Cork  had a three point victory over Kildare  in the All -Ireland Junior football Final on Sat last 24th Aug at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick. The Club were represented by the  O' Driscoll brothers Colm and Kevin who  lined out at wing forward and Corner forward
respectively, they contributed 0-3 to Cork's final tally and both played major
roles in what was a very tight match in the second half, final scoreline 0-13
to 1-7. Well done to the two lads who add two more medals to their growing
collection!
The Junior A Footballers West Cork Championship Semi-Final against the winners of Clonakilty v Oliver Plunketts is fixed for Friday 6thh Sept, while the  Carbery Senior Footballers take on Aghada  in the Senior Championship quarter final  on Sunday next  1st Sept in Pairc Ui Rinn.
The postponed Junior C Championship game v kilmacabea goes ahead this Saturday in Aughaville at 4pm.
 

Juvenile Section:
The under 14 footballers  played their Championship Semi-final against  Castletownbere  in Glengarriff on Tuesday night  20th Aug and were narrowly defeated, while the under 13  Hurlers played  Bantry in the Championship semi-final on Sunday 18th Aug  in Ballydehob and recored a very impressive four point victory to qualify for the final against
St.Mary's.

he under 16 footballers took on Caha Gaels last Friday in Aughaville in a league game, a
poor first half left them well in arrears at the break while a much improved second half was not enough to avoid defeat on a scoreline of 6-10 to 3-10.

On Monday evening last St.Patrick's Minor Hurlers played Bantry in a Championship replay
at Ballydehob. A much improved display from the drawn game gave St. Patrick's
victory on a final scoreline of 2-11 to 1-8.  Caheragh had six players on the panel. They
play Ibane Gaels in the West Cork Final next Monday evening in Rossmore.

The Lotto draw resumes next Monday 2nd Sept: following the Summer break, the
jackpot will be €1,150 with the draw in Aughaville.
