The Junior A Football Championship continued on Sunday  last when Caheragh played the Quarter final against Clan Na Gael in Bantry. The first half was keenly contested and
Caheragh led at the break by 1-8 to 0-5.The game was still in the melting pot
until Colm O Driscoll scored the second goal of a brilliant hat trick and this
finished the game as a contest. The final scoreline of 4-16 to 1-7 ensured
Caheragh have now progressed to the Semi-Final against the winners of
Clonakilty v Oliver Plunketts who drew their quarter final game also on Sunday. This Friday night the Carbery Senior Footballers take on
Ballincollig in the Championship at Cloughduv with a number of Caheragh players
involved while on the same night Adrigole play Eire Og in the Intermediate
Championship at Aughaville.
Ladies Football:
On Friday 2nd August the ladies got their county junior B championship campaign underway
with a home tie against Rosscarbery.  There was little between the sides
in the first half with Rosscarbery just edging it by a single point at half
time.  Upon the resumption Caheragh were quick to equalise but that's as
good as it got for the home side who lost their shape in the second half and
were second best on the night. Final scoreline  3.08 to 0.08.  A very difficult away game
to Dunmanway faces the ladies now on Wednesday, 7th August where its winner
takes all to proceed to the quarter final stage.

The Tadhg MacCarthaigh U.14 girls took on Dunmanway last Thursday night in
Aughaville in the West Cork league and they were comfortable
winners.  Next up for the girls is an away clash with St. Colum's
with details to be confirmed.
On Sunday, 11th August the Tadhg MacCarthaigh ladies host a
family BBQ in the Coachman's Inn, Bauravilla from 2pm.   Live
music from Open the Taps, bouncy castle, sumo suits, Jane's creative corner and
lots more so a great day is guaranteed.

the Annual Blitz Competition. The team played three games against teams from

The under 14 footballers are still awaiting their Championship Semi-final against the
winners of  Castletownbere v  Iveleary while the under 13  Hurlers play Bantry in  a semi-final on Thurs 15th Aug in
