The Junior A  footballers had mixed results recently. On Friday week last they played St.James in Aughaville in their second league game. Conditions were wet and greasy, in what was a low scoring closely fought encounter the visitors won on a scoreline of 1-6 to 0-7. Then on Sunday the team made the long trip to Belgooly to play their first game in the County league. Both teams had to contend with a gale force wind and it really was a game of two halves. After an entertaining hours football Caheragh collected the league points on offer when they recorded a one point victory on a final scoreline of 1-13 to 2-9.

This coming weekend it is back to the Carbery /Beara league when they travel to Castletownkenneigh to play the locals on Sunday morning at 11.30.
